Webbfabriken was founded in 2002 in Stockholm by Robert Ikenberg, originally as a web agency focused on quality delivery and technical responsibility. As customers asked the company to take on more of their digital environment, the scope expanded step by step.
In 2005 Webbfabriken launched its own managed web hosting platform on infrastructure that the team operates and maintains itself. In 2010 IT services became a separate area of operation, providing local support for computers, networks and email. In 2018 the company released WF SecurityCloud™, our proprietary cybersecurity platform, which today protects the websites and clients we operate.
Today Webbfabriken delivers four integrated areas — web agency, hosting and operations, IT services and cybersecurity — from one team based on Lidingö in Stockholm. Customers range from sole traders and SMBs to organisations within media, hospitality, retail, education, the public sector and the non-profit space.

Web design and development, managed hosting, daily IT support and cybersecurity all live in the same team. The four areas share customers, knowledge and infrastructure — so a website, its hosting, its email and the workstations using it are all maintained by people who know each other and the customer.

Our infrastructure is located in Sweden and managed by our own team. We control our platform, code and supplier chain to keep responsibility close to the customer. Security is built into how we deliver work, not added as an extra product layer.
